About Me
My Background
Since I first moved to Nixa when I was 19, I quickly came to the conclusion that this is the place I want to call my home. My wife Ashley and I have been married for 14 years, and we have two beautiful daughters who have attended Nixa schools since kindergarten. I have given countless hours of my time to our neighborhood's schools, parks, fundraising events, the Nixa Chamber of Commerce, and other activities. We have always been happy to call Nixa home and proud of our community.
My Accomplishments
Prior to being elected to city council, I served as a commissioner for Planning and Zoning, which helped me appreciate the processes and procedures of city administration. I realized that I wanted to be more involved and aid the Nixa community as much as possible from the day I started serving on Council. The chance to assist others in our community will always be the best aspect of my position. I have served as Mayor Pro Tem for the past two years, which I believe has qualified me to be the next mayor of our great city. Additionally, I have achieved distinction as a Springfield Business Journals 40 Under 40, Christian County Top 10 Under 40, FEMA Certified, and I have begun my certifications from the American Public Power Association and Missouri Municipal League since I began serving my community.
My Goals
As Mayor my key priorities for the city of Nixa are to improve infrastructure while also developing strategies for long-term growth. Improving the quality of life in Nixa is and will continue to be a high priority for me. I also believe more activities for the Nixa community are needed and we need to offer new incentives to attract new businesses and jobs. All of these elements are necessary for optimal growth. Additionally, I also intend to collaborate with all agencies to identify cost-cutting opportunities so that we can develop reserves and reinvest tax dollars back into the community.

- Approve funding to hire new officers as needed to keep the community safe
- Continue to fund the needed training for all officers
- Continue to work on funding for new facilities to fit the growing needs of the police department
- Provide the tools and funding to keep Nixa on the safest cities list

- Continue my work with the American Public Power Association and the Missouri Public Utility Association
- Prioritize high traffic areas to upgrade or add sidewalks which will improve pedestrian safety
- Expand infrastructure to accommodate additional commercial growth
- Advocate to MoDOT that they prioritize various Nixa projects

- Secure funding through grants or private donors to develop new recreational spaces and renovate existing spaces
- Secure funding through grants, private donors or create additional income sources to continue the steps needed to complete the parks master plan

- Create a program to include the citizens of Nixa in the process of beautifying our city

- I plan to implement a Nixa Neighborhood Alliance which will allow neighborhood HOA officers the opportunity to have quarterly meetings that will include various departments within the city
